Nordic walking poles
Nordic walking poles are different from trekking poles, they mimick cross-country skiing poles and for example feature a strap that allows you to have a more precise control of the poles. You don't have to have your own pair of poles to attend my classes, the use of poles is included in the price of a class.
Why should you give Nordic walking a go?
Nordic walking has multiple benefits over regular walking. The main difference is that in Nordic walking the muscles of your upper body are getting a workout too. As a consequence, you get a better cardiovascular workout because your heart and lungs have to work harder to supply the muscles with oxygen. You also burn more calories as a result of more of your muscles working.  Nordic walking is also beneficial in combatting postural problems and shoulder and neck pains caused by our modern sedentary lifestyle and office jobs.  Come and give it a go to find out for yourself!
